According to the Natural History Museum , the brocade python is the longest snake in the world . On average, this snake reaches a length of about 6.25 meters, or 20.5 feet. The longest access network on record was discovered in 1912 and is 10 meters long, or about 32.8 feet. The Natural History Museum says the snake is longer than the height of a tall hill. The largest and heaviest reticulated animal in captivity is Medusa, which is 7.67 meters long, or about 25 feet, and weighs 158.8 kilograms, or about 350 pounds.
Reticulated pythons are found in Southeast Asia, especially in tropical forests, woodlands and grasslands. In countries like Singapore and Indonesia, these pythons have also been identified at the gates, in the wild. While National Geographic states that these semi-aquatic snakes can weigh up to 550 pounds, the heaviest of these pythons has been recorded at 227 kilograms, or about 500 pounds, according to the Museum of Natural History.
Green anacondas are found in South America and Trinidad, especially in unrestricted, water bodies such as swamps, marshes, rivers and shallow streams.
