Charlie was diagnosed with cancer . The family was truly devastated, but they did not know how little Scout would take the situation, who compared to her beloved companion was very young and full of life.

Desperate to find a way to comfort Scout, Charlie’s owner had an idea: Put videos of the dog on her tablet . When the kitten heard the barking of her inseparable companion, her reaction was very moving.

He ran to the device and stayed with it for a long time . It purred and rubbed against it, as if the tablet were good old Charlie personified. It wasn’t the same as having the dog back, but it was a nice comfort after all.

With Scout a bit more spirited, the family decided to make another decision: bring home a new puppy . They knew that nothing would be able to take Charlie’s place, but it was worth a try.
