Stingrays have round, cylindrical bodies, long tails, and small heads. The common characteristics of stingrays are cartilage, flat shape, head, body, eyes and abdomen are rounded to look like a fan, and the fish’s tail is long like a fan handle.
Because the fish body is made of hard and elastic cartilage, the fish meat is delicious and nutritious. Stingray is rich in protein, rich in nutrients, and has fatty and fragrant meat.
Many stingrays have stingers or even poisonous spines like stingrays.
Like baleen whales and whale sharks, some rays are filter feeders, but most are carnivorous. The filter jaw part is often hunted as a medicine for the Chinese.
They often tend to move close to shore, keeping a distance of 320 km from the coast, hanging around the routes of ships in an effort to hunt plankton and fish eggs. There are giant rays weighing up to 7 quintals. We invite readers to watch more videos: Strange fish with the ability to be invisible, only appearing in Nha Trang.
