The beautiful scene occurred in the Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
“I was very happy with the photos, especially the one where Ndazi is leaning towards Andre,” Shannon told CatersNews.
This is not the first time mountain gorillas have posed for photographs with their keepers.
Virunga National Park is a UNESCO world heritage site, home to “the last of the world’s critically endangered mountain gorillas.”
