Emmanuel Benner is a French artist, born on March 28, 1836 in Alsace in the city of Mulhouse (Mulhouse).Emmanuel Benner, along with his brother, acquired their first drawing skills in the workshop of their father, who was engaged in textile design.
He received his professional education in Paris, studying in the workshop of artists Leon Bonn and Jean-Jacques Henner.
During his lifetime, Emmanuel Benner was quite a sought-after artist, and his diverse works: allegorical, genre painting, portraits and nudes are now in many famous museums and private collections around the world.
The artist Emmanuel Benner died in Nantes, France, at the age of 60, on September 24, 1896.
