Unfortunately, many animals are victims of mistreatment, injustice, and abandonment by those who consider them family . Without any justification they are abandoned to the dangerous streets in the worst way, putting their lives at risk and leaving them completely heartbroken.

This is what happened to a small dog that was thrown wildly from inside a car and despite all odds managed to stay alive to become an inspirational example.

It was Alesha Brandt’s daughter who saw that someone had opened her car door to throw the dog out onto the road.

Her destiny was certain death but she had other plans.

Immediately, the girl ran to the place and seeing the terrible situation of the dog called her mother to help her. They both took the poor little animal to a nearby veterinarian, she was extremely malnourished, she was deaf in one ear and had a severe lesion in one of her eyes that later had to be removed . Little her looked so bad that no one expected her to survive.

“She was literally thrown into our life. She was not supposed to make it through the night, but she came through,” Brandt said.

When the dog managed to recover from her terrible condition, she was ready to be put up for adoption. Brandt knew that the dog was destined to be part of her family and decided to formally adopt her , initially calling her Captain Jackie Sparrow, alluding to her one eye, but over time she was simply named Meeply.

However, shortly after arriving at her new home, the dog had an accident when she jumped off the sofa and broke her leg. Due to her long history of injuries, it was impossible to save her and her leg had to be amputated .

Thus, little Meeply ended up with only one eye, three legs and a single functional ear,  but none of this prevented her from continuing to enjoy being with her loving family, which she had always deserved.

Currently, Meeply is 13 years old and doesn’t seem to realize that she is any different from any other dog. Although he only weighs 2 kilos he has a great personality, like a large dog and always makes sure to be in command of his environment.

“Meeply thinks she’s the leader of all the dogs,” Brandt said.

The sweet dog is more than happy to have found a loving home that changed her life forever and made her forget all the pain she went through. Thanks to her compact size, Meeply can travel everywhere with her family and she loves meeting new people along with Brandt, who are surprised to meet her and can’t help but be moved by her story.

“Generally people cry when they meet her, they want to hug her and caress her,” said the woman.

Despite her great personality, the dog faces physical difficulties every day that prevent her from moving freely and climbing stairs . However, she always remains positive and never complains about her situation. Meeply is the clearest example of strength that her family can have, who are grateful for having found her and being able to share every moment with her.
