He asks a man who is on a property to take his dying, hairless dog.

The animal rescue cases that mark us the most are those that have been abandoned. When it comes to dogs, they are generally in severe states of malnutrition, with serious skin problems and completely depressed . Fortunately, there are always people who are willing to change and improve their world and who will do everything possible for them to recover so that they can lead a happy life.

Thus began the story of Dong-Jin, a little dog found on a property in Jeongdongjin, a small town in South Korea.

Dong-Jin belongs to the Samoyed breed, which is characterized by its abundant and fluffy fur . However, Dong-Jin was practically bald and his bones could be seen under his skin.

Ek Park, founder of Free Korean Dogs , tried his best to rescue him.

They are a dog rescue organization from South Korea, where they still tend to have farms for consumption and there is little respect for animals.  They make connections to North America, to be adopted and given a place where they can be safe and give them love.

Park had to legally threaten Dong-Jin’s owner until he finally turned it over to him.

The vets weren’t sure if they could do anything for him, it was skin and bones, he was really sick and they didn’t know if his system would be able to handle all the medications they needed to put on him.

They began by treating his terrible case of demodex mange and feeding him, as he was completely malnourished.

The poor thing was on the verge of death, his whole body was completely deteriorated, but apparently his mind was very strong, since very soon he began to respond positively to all the treatment.

In just four months a change began to be noticed.

His fur began to grow and undoubtedly his weight was increasing, in addition his mood was very good, he was taken to a private shelter in South Korea, where he was able to interact with other animals, he looked really happy.

The transformation he had had was incredible.

In just 6 months he was a completely different dog, no one would have imagined that he was on the verge of death, that his skin was completely sick and that his body was so weak that he walked with difficulty.

He was ready to be adopted, so Park posted his profile on the Free Korean Dogs page and a Canadian family fell in love with him.

In fact, many people were interested, but Park  decided that this family would be the best for Dong-Jin, they have a large yard and the woman is a writer, working from home the dog would never be alone.

And as if that were not enough, he would have a little brother to play with, since they have another dog.

Park said, “I’m very happy that he’s okay now. Dong-Jin is like a miracle, and knowing that he’ll be okay is comforting.”

Now we are pleased to see the photos of Dong-Jin, running through the green grass and playing with his new brother. It is definitely an example of the damage that abandonment can do to us and that with a little love and dedication, we can completely change a life.  Fortunately, this beautiful and loving puppy was found in time by the right people and got a second chance.

If you think Dong-Jin’s transformation is wonderful, feel free to share his story.
