Putol, a poor 6-year-old dog, was abandoned at birth because of a disability in his hind legs. Fortunately, Putol was taken care of by Mr. Danilo Codilego Jr. who lives in Casiguran, Philippines.
“I first met Putol about 6 years ago when I was working at a bakery. One day, a colleague brought 4 dogs to the store and tried to sell them for 5,000 pesos (about 6.2 million VND). The other lovely dogs were sold one by one, only Putol remained because he was born with both hind legs missing. No one wants to raise it, the owner even wants to throw it away. At that time, I thought I needed to take care of this poor dog.
I can’t think of any other good name for it except Putol. During the first two years of his life, Putol struggled to move, but it was extremely difficult because he only had two legs, but he quickly learned to balance himself on his front legs. What an energetic dog! Now, Putol’s life is completely free of any obstacles,” Putol’s owner shared.
With the kindness of his owner, Putol was very well cared for. Now the dog has adapted to life on two legs, quickly integrating and playing with other dogs in the Casiguran area. , Quezon City, Philippines. It even knows how to watch over the house and protect its dearest owner.
“Putol tried to protect me as much as possible, always barking every time a stranger came. He also gets jealous every time I play with another dog. Putol is quite friendly and well-liked in the neighborhood. Every time I go to work, people often help me take care of Putol. The only sad thing is that due to a congenital disability, Putol cannot have children,” Danilo said.
