Although some underestimate the intelligence of animals and their ability to communicate and express their emotions, they are capable of showing what they feel, protecting those they love, and satisfying their needs by asking for help.

The reaction of a dog when she finally received the help she so badly needed leaves no one indifferent: she burst into tears, excited because she and the puppies she was waiting for would be safe.

“I noticed that tears were coming out of Poppy’s eyes. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that in a dog ,” said Jack Anderson, who rescued the dog with his wife.

The couple was having lunch at a fast food restaurant when they noticed someone watching them.

A large black dog was on the floor under the counter stools, staring at them as they ate fried chicken at a casual street stand.

“He never took his eyes off us, but he didn’t come up to us or ask us for food,” Jack Anderson said in an interview.

“The restaurant owners came out and chased the dog down the sidewalk. It was obvious that she was scared and disappeared,” she added.

But the couple saw the dog again when they were on their way home, they noticed that she was pregnant , they knew that she needed help immediately.

“My wife took the leftover food and I walked over to her to give it to her. The dog was very nervous, but we could see some of her scars on her skin from her and so we fully understood that she did not find it easy to trust humans,” Jack said.

Indeed, the dog was acting cautiously because she had known the worst side of humanity and tried to stay safe.

Jack and his wife worked hard to gain the trust of the poor nervous dog and managed to convince her to take the food from their hands.

They let the dog eat and then lifted her up to put her in their car, Poppy feeling out of danger . She knew that they were good people, she cried with emotion.

The poor thing was finally in a warm and safe environment. The pain and the helpless would be left behind, for the dog the most important thing was to guarantee that her puppies were born out of danger, she knew that if they did not receive help on time they

“We just paused in the moment to allow the dog to calm down for a bit, but honestly, she was a lot more relaxed than I expected,” Jack said.

He took out his mobile phone to capture the scenes that have captivated thousands of people due to the adorable reaction of the dog who will always be grateful because they were not indifferent to their pain.

“I started recording the video of my wife comforting her and I noticed tears coming out of Poppy’s eyes . Luckily, she was relatively healthy,” she added.

The dog spent several days with them, they took turns taking care of her. She slept most of the time and she got used to the sofa very quickly, she loved it.

But little by little Poppy recovered until she showed her desire to live, played happily and did mischief.

After having suffered so much, the dog finally knew unconditional love

Poppy’s puppies will be in the care of Jack and his wife until they have the necessary conditions to be adopted.

The mother will never have to contemplate the option of returning to the streets.

“Poppy will stay with us. We are learning about her all the time and building trust with her ,” Anderson said.

The couple understands the dog’s suffering and wants her to receive love until her last breath . They with their simple gesture changed their destiny forever.
