Nothing like the affection and fidelity that a dog is capable of giving to those around it . If  there is a prize for the most  loyal  friend  , dogs  definitely take first place, the popular saying that describes them as “man’s best friend” is very accurate.

A living example is represented by a puppy that  was devastated when its human was hospitalized, and the  animal  only wanted to be by its side .

Artur Santaela  is an 86-year-old man who lives with Sheik, a puppy who is his best friend and inseparable companion. The two  spend time together and love to go for walks.

In November of last year, Artur had an accident at home and had to be transferred to the Emílio Carlos Hospital , in Catanduva, Sao Paolo,  where he remained hospitalized for several days.

And since he was hospitalized, the puppy’s life turned gray , he  was  having a very  bad time because he missed his good human friend immensely.

Artur was also sad because he misses his pet a lot, and he does not stop asking his daughter Célia Santaela , how is the little animal.

Célia  has dedicated herself to caring for Sheik ,  during the time that his father has had to be away. But it is not the same, the puppy feels more and more  unhappy , and the sadness  is reflected in his eyes.

The daughter knows the great feeling that unites the two friends, and she was sure that if her father saw her dog, her recovery would be faster.

So he decided to ask the doctor who treats his father to allow Sheik  to meet his human.  The doctors were aware of the therapeutic and beneficial effect that pets have on the recovery of their convalescent humans, and they accepted Célia’s request .

“They needed to see each other to feel good ,” the sympathetic daughter commented.

The two friends met,  with the support  of Petshop Estimacão, under certain measures to guarantee the safety of everyone in the hospital, its staff and the patient himself.

The daughter was very grateful to all the workers at the health facility ,  for allowing the magical encounter between her father and the cute furry.   

“I thank you immensely for giving this moment to my father. We know how complicated it is and I have no words to thank you for all the work so that the two of you can see each other,” said  the daughter.

The positive effect of Sheik’s visit to Artur is undoubted, his state of health is getting better and better, and the puppy only hopes that his beloved human returns home soon.  Social networks were moved when the publication was shared, and many users did not stop praising the immense  affection  between the two friends.

Some also expressed their admiration for the health personnel who understood the situation and supported the man sharing with his beloved dog, his life partner.
