Social networks are capable of catapulting characters never imagined to fame and this time the stroke of luck has touched a little dog, whose peculiar snout has admired her followers. Her name is Eris and with one of hers, her tenderness and uniqueness has her followers in awe, all of them standing out from her face.

Eris is a white barzoi who lives in Richmond, Virginia (United States), and although the dogs of her breed tend to have a long snout compared to other furry ones, none are as big as our dog’s.

Of course, for her there is no difference and neither for her mother Lily Kambourian, who loves her with or without her big snout.

In fact, fearing that her bite would close the doors, the owner decided to take the little girl home and adopted her as a puppy.

“Eris was born to a litter of three in Keysville, Virginia. When we went to visit the pups, it was apparent that she might have overbite. That would rule her out for any dog shows, as it’s a genetic defect. But that didn’t bother us. She walked over to us and sat on [Savannah’s] lap,” Lily explained.

The full name of this dog is “Madame Eris Overbite, Queen of Snoots” and according to Lily, she decided to name her Eris in honor of the Greek goddess of fight and discord. But none of this defines the cute furry girl.

The owner began to share the photos of the dog on her social networks because she loves her pet but she never imagined that this would make her famous.

The fame of has knocked on the door of this family in a surprising way and Lily herself affirms that people usually stop them in the street surprised by the dog’s snout.

“We stand up a lot when we’re walking with Eris because most people are trying to figure out what breed she is, but we’ve started to find paths in the neighborhood where we can actually take a walk,” she noted.

Despite the prognosis that the veterinarians gave her when she was little, the beautiful Eris is a fairly healthy fluffy almost 1.5 meters long.

We were warned as a puppy that he might be having dental problems, where his teeth would dig into his gums and he might need canines removed. But she just walked right by. There are no problems with her long nose,” Lily said.

The only difference with his particular snout is that he finishes his snacks much faster than any other dog. This dog is large in size but has a very playful personality and can even be intimidated by smaller dogs.

“She can get very nervous around small dogs . She sometimes gets in a bad mood but she is so silly and charming because borzoi are very quiet. I don’t think we’ve really heard her bark,” the owner said.

Lily tells us a little more about her dog’s personality.

“She’s very good at sticking her nose into very small spaces between sofas, fences, or people enjoying a meal at a table, so her pointy nose is advantageous there.”

Although it has not yet been verified, this may be the dog with the longest nose in the world, but the relevant procedures must be followed to be recognized. Lily never thought something like this would be possible.

“We hadn’t really considered having the record keepers check on Eris, though we wouldn’t be against doing such a thing after the world is more normal. But we’re not entirely sure how to do it, to be honest!” said the owner.

She adopted the furry one because of the connection they established immediately and also for fear that she would be rejected with such a long muzzle, now it turned out that this particularity has made her a much more special canine for the world.
