On November 13, Master-Doctor Nguyen Phi Phong, Deputy Head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery at Da Nang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, shared the successful surgical intervention he recently led to remove a 0.5kg mass from the anal area of a two-day-old newborn girl.
On October 29, Ms. M. underwent a cesarean section, giving birth to a baby girl weighing nearly 2.5kg. Post-birth, a mass measuring 20cm in diameter and weighing 0.5kg was observed. Subsequently, on November 1, doctors, led by Dr. Nguyen Phi Phong, performed surgery to address the diagnosed acromegaly in the newborn.
