A pit bull runs to save a bird that has fallen from its nest and takes it in as her kid.

No one can deny that animals , such as dogs or even a little bird, have survival instincts that lead them to be a bit violent, since by nature they resort to hunting in order to feed themselves.

However, many creatures, when domesticated, put aside any spark of evil and behave like true protective angels. An exemplary case is that of this dog named Pepper.

The beautiful Pepper is a terrier mixed with a pit bull who lives with her owner Elisha Jamieson and other members of her family, in a house in the parish of Hook in Hampshire (United Kingdom).

But the greatest quality of this furry has nothing to do with her physique but with her heart, which she can flaunt.

It turns out that Pepper is the most compassionate of her family and when she saw a defenseless little animal in trouble, she couldn’t stand by.

It was a small chick that had fallen from the nest and was in latent danger, far from the protection of its mother.

The birds’ nest was installed in the patio of the residence where cats also live, so the dog immediately sensed how risky it was for the defenseless chick to be lying on the ground without any apparent protection.

In the interest of saving it, Pepper took the creature between her snout and carried it to a safe place. The dog’s family couldn’t believe what they were seeing, the scene seemed surreal to them because the canine never hurt or squeezed the bird too much.

Although this maternal instinct is characteristic of this mestiza, her owners could not go unnoticed by her beautiful gesture.

“Pepper has always been very motherly, and went out of her way to help this chick, bringing it into the house and making sure our cats didn’t get their claws on it. The vet told us that the bird would almost certainly have died if it hadn’t been for Pepper. He is a little star,” Elisha Jamieson said.

This dog’s act of heroism could not go unnoticed, so her mom recounted the experience on social media.

After taking the little bird to the vet, it was sent to a bird shelter and from there it will be able to find a new life.

For her part, Pepper has the satisfaction of having done the right thing and her family does not stop spoiling her for her great maternal spirit. Hopefully soon they will be able to reach her real life children and if not, surely the dog will find another creature that she adopts.

Our furry friends do not stop surprising us with their virtues, send this dog the recognition it deserves.
