Having kids is always a mix of fun and fuss for parents, and it’s hard to deny that those tiny copies of us bring so many emotions into our lives. But imagine having not 1, not 2, not even 5, but 12 kids in the family. This can turn any parent’s life into a very challenging journey. Our featured heroine has recently given 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 to her 12th 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥, and this is how she and her husband take care of their huge, happy family and keep their sanity for years.

The couple did not plan such a family from the beginning.

Courtney Rogers, 38, of New Mexico, along with her husband, Chris, recently welcomed daughter Cambria into the world, bringing their total number of children to the magic number of 12.

Courtney is a super mom who had 12 kids in 12 years and managed to turn her brood into a cheaper real-life family after giving her youngest daughter 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡.

The happy parents revealed that they never thought about having so many children when they decided to start a family. They had even had a miscarriage when they first started trying to conceive, but now they have a perfect brood.

The 12 children in this family are special to their parents.

The couple’s eldest son, Clint, was born on March 30, 2010, just before the couple had another 5 years, followed by Ƅy and 6 girls.

“It’s amazing how it worked out too because we had all our girls at the beginning and the last 5 haʋeen girls, so it all worked out well,” Courtney said in an interview.

For the happy parents, every birth is a new chapter in their life. Courtney revealed: “Clint was due 3 weeks before I turned 26, but of course back then, I had no idea I’d have more babies. I thought I was too old at 26 and didn’t know they would come so quickly, plus include a set of twins. Then we said we’d have 10 babies maximum, but I still felt young and healthy enough so we pushed it to 12.”

The Ƅig family is now living their best life together

Clint, 12; Clay, 10; Cadé, 9; Callie, 8; Cash, 7; twins Colt and Case, 6; Caleña, 4; Caydie, 3; Coralee, 2; Caris, 1; and now the new couple 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦, Cambria.

As if 12 children weren’t enough, the family also lives on a farm and has over 200 animals, including pigs, sheep and chickens. The 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren are all raised to care for their animals and are taught responsibility from an early age.

Now, with 12 children under the age of 12, Courtney and Chris are on the outs with their family. They are always busy planning how to handle the big lunch.

A typical day in the family seems like a small life

A normal day in the Rogers household begins with a big breakfast at 8 a.m., then comes math and art lessons.

Lunch is served around 11:30 a.m., and Courtney gives the little ones sandwiches, then puts them down for a nap, while the older kids prepare their own food. In the afternoon, the kids have language classes, art, and reading time, which also includes piano lessons at the zoo that happen from time to time. Then, at 5:00 p.m., the super provides a big dinner for her family.

During a typical meal, the family consumes 24 eggs, and a full serving of cereal is eaten for breakfast every day. In addition to teaching the children, Courtney also keeps the house tidy, all before putting them to work at 8:30 p.m.

Courtney shares her knowledge on how to keep her family on a budget

The happy, sprawling family survives due to mom’s strict budgets. Courtney is good at planning and saving, and has implemented a “no spending in January” plan, which prohibits buying anything but basic groceries. The family also has a “no eating out or takeout” rule, as well as a ban on moʋie rentals and any fun purchases.

When Courtney has to stop at the grocery store, she does “no-eat Mondays” and cooks cheaper vegetarian meals for her growing clan. The family isn’t into the fancy life, but makes it work easily thanks to dad’s thrifty tricks. What’s more, the generous family is still able to give to others.

This past Christmas, the Rogers clan even invited strangers into their home for a delicious home-cooked meal.
