Knowing how to give first aid is important every day, as you never know what could happen and in an emergency, a minute can make the difference between life or death. Apparently this was well known with a pair of vervet monkeys that were captured in a shocking photo by a wildlife photographer .
They have very advanced social behaviors
Nature lover and photographer William Steel was at Gaborone Game Reserve in Botswana, with his inseparable lens to capture images of its inhabitants, but he never imagined it. that I would capture something so amazing .
Steel found himself with the incredible image of a green monkey feeding one of his companions , who was lying on the ground with his limbs stretched, CPR and word of mouth .
The monkey leaned on the little monkey so intensely and with care that it seemed to genuinely care about her well-being and fight to keep her alive and breathing.
“He looks like a real doctor who specializes in saving lives. It’s very beautiful,” said one social media user.
But while it looks like the monkey is performing CPR to save her friend’s life, it’s actually just grooming her while she relaxes a bit and hone her skills with as a dramatic actress seeking attention from the crowd of men around her.
“In what I can describe as dramatic, the monkey fell to the ground, both legs and arms outstretched. At first I couldn’t understand what was going on, but when I picked up the camera, another monkey appeared and appeared to have performed CPR. Looking back, I think the performance was a call for attention from the woman,” the photographer said.
The truth behind the shocking images is the advanced social structure that monkeys have, based on mutual support, cordiality and grooming each other.
“There is a clear and important hierarchy in the troop, just like humans, this social community is mainly based on if you help me, I will help you. Bonds are formed largely through grooming. I have often seen this behavior to help clean wounds and even care for injured troop members,” the man concluded.
He looked really worried
Either way, it’s still an extremely tender and moving event that reminds us how intelligent all animals are. For this reason, we must always take care of them and not alter their habitat in which they coexist harmoniously, just as humanity should do.
And you, do you know how to do CPR as good as this cute little monkey? Don’t leave without sharing this incredible moment with all your friends.
