Meet Kerith , an adorable licensed therapy dog who is lovingly working alongside firefighters in Marin County, Northern California .

It is well known that the strong and constant forest fires affect not only the biodiversity of our planet, affecting the environment, but also the mental health of those who fight every day to try to control the flames .

His presence helps the firefighters find the emotional balance that they need so much.

Many times we forget that behind the firefighter suits there are men and women who often experience different emotional shocks due to the hard work they face and sometimes not being able to save the person exposed in the fire.

This is where the sweet Keritj comes in, who has become the best refuge and comfort for these heroes without capes .

With his antics and sweet caresses he makes them smile after a long day.

Its owner, Heidi Carmen, comments:

“She doesn’t know there’s a fire. She doesn’t know there is COVID. So she knew that she was seeing her friends and she was very happy to do it. To the firefighters, I think she really made their day.”
