Before her rescue in July 2023, Fhandee’s condition was critical. She was not only frail but also blind, which made it difficult for her to manage even basic tasks.
As we worked to care for her, we discovered she was also deaf, adding unforeseen challenges to her recovery.
Fhandee initially responded to her new environment with fear and suspicion, making it hard for her to adjust.
She experienced multiple falls and struggled to regain her balance, which left us worried that she might not survive.
Despite these obstacles, Fhandee’s determination has been evident. She has fought hard to regain her strength, driven by a strong appetite that has helped her stay nourished.
Our veterinarians and mahouts have been unwavering in their care, providing Fhandee with specially prepared soft food each day. Today, we are witnessing an extraordinary improvement in her condition.
