According to biologists, this strangely colored turtle is due to albinism.
This adorable golden turtle is one of the few small turtles newly discovered in India.
It’s vivid, it’s the colour of sunshine, of an egg yolk, of a banana, of a daffodil, it’s a golden-shelled turtle. Discovered in a net during a fishing spree, this latest internet sensation has attracted a lot of attention, and given the turtle’s striking colour, it’s easy to see why.
The Indian shell turtle is usually brown with yellow spots, but can occasionally be yellow.
It is a common type of turtle in South Asia, and is seen in its yellow form on several occasions. This unique color is believed to be caused by albinism. This usually causes most animals to turn white, but not in the case of this special turtle.
Once captured, the golden-shelled turtle is difficult to reintroduce because its color makes it stand out like a thief in the wild.
The fact that they are yellow is not so rare, in fact, they are rare to see, since due to their color, they do not survive for long in the wild.
And understandably, these turtles are given zero camouflage, as their striking golden color blends in with absolutely nothing in their natural environment.
I wish everyone who saw this golden turtle good luck in life, please share it with your loved ones!
