The Close-Up Photography Awards, which celebrate and showcase close-up, macro and micro photography, have just announced their winners and finalists.
The overall award for Close-up Photographer of the Year was won by French photographer Galice Hoarau for his image of a larʋa eel, captured off LemƄeh Island, Indonesia. Other impressive winners include spiders, geckos, flowers and other gorgeous shots.
The competition was made up of seven categories: Animals, Insects, Plants and Fungi, Intimate Landscape, Manadic World, Young (for creatures under 17 years old) and Micro (for photographs taken with a microscope).
