A mother’s love is undoubtedly one of the most precious treasures for anyone, but that fortune increases when, in addition to a mother, there is a grandmother. This happiness is the one that seizes a little girl of only 8 months of age who lives in the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden , located in the city of Cincinnati (Ohio, USA). 

Through the social networks of the Cincinnati Zoo, a unique video was released that leads us to reflect again on our relationship with monkeys. Amali is a baby bonobo monkey who is very spoiled by her mommy and her grandmother.

In the recording of a few seconds, she is seen playing in the most tender way with 40-year-old granny Lana. This age sounds simple, but four decades is not the same for a person as it is for a hand.

As Amali rests on her mom’s tummy, Lana comes over and starts cuddling her. Those seconds of play recorded between granddaughter and grandmother are so similar to the complicity that exists between humans, that the matter causes a lot of tenderness.

Lana plunges her face into Amali’s little body as if pouting and tickling her, while the little one is seen hilariously enjoying Grandma’s pampering.

The relationship between monkeys and humans is scientifically proven but there are still those who refuse to accept this fact. For them, it might be worth not only watching the video but reading the brief description the zoo provides about this species.

“Just like humans, bonobos live in family groups and are extremely intelligent. They generally stand on two legs just like us. Bonobos are capable of building and using tools, a characteristic that once distinguished humans from other animals,” can be read on the Cincinnati Zoo website.
