Kimmy Walker-Harris is a 40-year-old woman who has declared herself crazy , even more so after deciding to embalm her little dog , who accompanied her for 13 years, and in her words, was the best dog she could have ever had. .
Kimmy could not bear the idea of never seeing her little ball of fur again, so when she died she did not hesitate to freeze it and send it to the taxidermist . Eight weeks later she had her dog again, motionless but with the same look that captivated her all the days.
The dog was called Fifi.
The mother-of-two had to pay close to $500 to have little Fifi embalmed, however this didn’t worry the woman too much as she says the taxidermist did an amazing job.
The pup now has a special place on a chair in Kimmy’s bedroom , who and her husband Stuart Walker-Harris , 44, continue to greet the pup every morning and treat her as if she’s still alive among them .
The woman is from Alford, Lincolnshire-England.
For this couple, Fifi was a very special dog, she had a unique personality, and without a doubt, she was the best pet they had had in a long time .
Although they had already had other furry ones, with Fifi they created a special bond, so after her death they decided that they wanted her to accompany them forever .
“My parents thought it was a bit strange, but they cremate their dogs and have pots of ash all over the house. I guess it’s what different people do, some people bury them, others have their ashes; I only have Fifi in her shell. Kimmy said.
When Kimmy decided to embalm her dog, her parents and friends didn’t think it was very strange, they know that she would do anything to preserve the one she loved so much one day . In this regard, she commented:
“My family and friends didn’t really say anything about it. I guess I’m a pretty crazy person anyway, so they probably just thought ‘she’s crazy anyway’ is the kind of crazy thing I’d do.”
In life, Fifi was the owner of his heart and will continue to be after death . Although her decision has not been very funny to some people, Kimmy only found a solution to preserve forever who she loves madly.
