Australian family had to ask for help to get the venomous snake out of the refrigerator; watch the scary video .

An Australian family went through a situation that was not only unusual, but also very frightening. It all started when Gail Auricht noticed that her cat was agitated, bothered by something in the refrigerator outside the house. It was already night and, when she turned on the lights to see what was happening, Auricht got a big fright.

Hanging from the water dispenser on the refrigerator door was a huge and potentially dangerous red-bellied black snake. The 32-inch-long reptile appeared to have found a good place to cool off, but it ended up trapped.

Despite her fear, Auricht managed to remain calm and her neighbours helped her by calling a professional snake catcher to remove the unwanted intruder safely. The red-bellied black snake is commonly found on the east coast of Australia and although it is a venomous species, it is not known to be aggressive and rarely bites unless provoked.

Snake catcher Simon Hempel told ABC that he has caught many reptiles, but never inside a refrigerator: “I’ve been doing this for 25 years, I’ve caught snakes under refrigerators, but never in the water dispenser.” “This is very unusual. It will probably be the only time.”
