Unfortunately, many people adopt pets on a whim , without having the slightest idea of the enormous responsibility that comes with sharing life with a small animal at home. They do not take them into account, they forget to feed them and, in more extreme cases, they simply discard them like an old rag.
But, let’s not rush because, just as there are people who neglect them, there are also noble and good-hearted souls who care about their well-being. Such is the case of Hachi , who was about to lose his life on the street and, thanks to the person who rescued him, today he is a happy and well-loved puppy, but he needs a new home.
It turns out that the puppy seemed to be very happy with his old family who lived on Santo Domingo street, in Mexico City. Also his humans were happy to have him with them. However, as Hachi grew older, he was neglected .
The degree of indolence became so high that when the members of that house decided to change their address , and while the innocent puppy was also excited by the hustle and bustle of the move, after so many shared moments, in an unexpected twist, Hachi was betrayed and simply left adrift .
His life turned gray in the streets. Desolation and the need to survive were his only crutches for some time . She began to get dirty and progressively deteriorate. Her bones were becoming more visible.
Hachi only longed for the mercy of men, for someone to see him with love.
Luckily for the little animal, a neighbor identified as Ivon Arellano , a lifelong loving protector of animals, came on the scene to lend a generous hand to Hachi and offer him a second chance . It was she herself who told the facts that make up her tragic past.
“Even though I have 7 dogs at home, I couldn’t resist that look from Hachi. His eyes were crying out for love and help, ”said Ivon.
At first, Arellano tried to communicate with the former person in charge of the puppy, without success . Both she and the rest of the family disappeared without a trace, so Ivon welcomed him as one of his clan . According to his dedicated caretaker, Hachi is already two years old, he is very obedient, very sweet and intelligent.
“He is a very sweet, calm and obedient puppy, who gets along great with everyone else at home. I feel very satisfied to have contributed to prevent it from ending badly on the street. I don’t understand how there are people capable of so much inhumanity against a being who believed in them,” lamented Ivon Arellano.
Despite their great bond, Ivon is still looking for a permanent adoptive home for Hachi, she knows that he needs more attention and care that she cannot provide, being responsible for 7 more furry ones.
