Incredible event: The world’s largest sea turtle emerges from the water (Video)

The world’s largest sea turtle comes from the water onto the sand at this precise time.

It’s a magnificent leatherback turtle that appears to have emerged from the water to relax on the sand.

Leatherback turtles are the world’s largest turtle species. They don’t have a hard shell like other turtles; instead, their backs are covered in thick, leathery skin, thus the name.

Leatherback turtles like to travel alone and only interact with other turtles while they are reproducing. They deposit their eggs on a beach, much like other turtles, and let the baby turtles find their way to the sea on their own.

In the video below, you can see a leatherback relaxing on the beach:

They’ve been carefully developed to withstand the colder seas so they can dive deep for jellyfish, their favorite feast!

Fins leatherbacks may grow to be nine feet taller than any other sea turtle, which is incredible!
