A mother who flew halfway around the world so her daughter could have pioneering surgery to remove her ‘Batman’ birthmark has hailed the first operation a ‘Christmas miracle.’
Eight-month-old Luna Tavares Fenner underwent the operation in Russia after flying more than 6,000 miles from her home in south Florida.
Luna, who was born with a skin disorder called congenital melanocytic nevus, will in time undergo further operations to remove the rest of the birthmark.
Mum Carol told Mail Online: “This result on Luna’s forehead is amazing and I am now 100 per cent sure I was right to fly to Russia with my girl.
